Hey there, I’m Szabolcs! I’ve been building full-stack and mobile apps for 25+ years—from the early days of the web to today’s AI-powered era.
These days, I combine decades of battle-tested engineering with modern AI tools to create fast, useful, and sleek digital products. Scroll down to check out what I’ve been building!
Jelly Folders
Jelly Folders puts a real folder tree right inside upload.php — drag files in, nest as deep as you like, colour-code everything. Nothing moves on disk, so nothing ever breaks.
Folders are taxonomy terms, not directories. That means you can reorganise 10,000 attachments in an afternoon without touching a single URL, backup, or CDN cache.
A React sidebar sits beside the core WordPress grid — no separate admin page, no new place to learn. Drag files straight from the grid into a folder.
Give every client, campaign or year its own colour. Unlimited nesting, and the tree remembers where you were.
Pure database layer. Existing URLs, srcsets and CDN caches stay exactly as they are.
Removing a folder sends its files to Uncategorized. Nothing is ever deleted from disk.
jellyfolders/v1 powers the UI, page builders, and anything headless you build next.
Enable SVGs without opening a hole in your site — every file is scrubbed on the way in.
WPML and Polylang ready, with right-to-left layouts handled properly, not bolted on.
The folder browser rides along in the core media modal — Gutenberg, Elementor, Divi and WPBakery included.
Drag files straight into a folder, or drag folders themselves to reorder the whole tree.
A counter on every folder shows what landed since you last looked, rolled up to the parent too.
The free plugin is the whole folder experience on as many sites as you like — not a demo. Premium is a one-time payment, with an annual option if you prefer.

Small releases, often. If something matters to you, tell me and it moves up the list.
First-party S3, Google Cloud Storage and Cloudflare R2 sync built into the plugin.
Vision-API filing of new uploads into the right folder, plus generated alt text, title and caption. Opt-in, no external call without it.
SVG upload with sanitisation, WPML/Polylang translation support, RTL layout, reversible install with opt-in uninstall.
Upload destination picker, folder tree inside the insert-media modal, new-file badges per folder, pagination for large trees.
Folders as a WordPress taxonomy: nothing under uploads/ moves or gets renamed. Single level, grid view only.
Never. Folders live in a taxonomy, so every file stays exactly where WordPress put it.
Your Media Library goes back to normal, untouched. Reactivate and your folders are still there.
It hooks into the existing grid rather than replacing it, and folder queries are indexed term lookups.
Yes — everything routes through the public REST API, which builders and custom code can call too.
They follow WordPress capabilities. If a user can upload, they can file; folder editing is for editors and up.
I do, personally. Free support on the WordPress.org forum, priority replies for Pro licences.
Same idea as Jelly Folders: one job, done properly, no bloat. Leave your email and I'll ping you when they land — nothing else, ever.
