A virtual folder tree over the Media Library

Folders are taxonomy terms, not directories. That means you can reorganise 10,000 attachments in an afternoon without touching a single URL, backup, or CDN cache.

Two panes, one familiar screen

A React sidebar sits beside the core WordPress grid — no separate admin page, no new place to learn. Drag files straight from the grid into a folder.

Colour-coded, nested as deep as you need

Give every client, campaign or year its own colour. Unlimited nesting, and the tree remembers where you were.

Files never move

Pure database layer. Existing URLs, srcsets and CDN caches stay exactly as they are.

Safe delete

Removing a folder sends its files to Uncategorized. Nothing is ever deleted from disk.

Taxonomy foundation

Folders as a WordPress taxonomy: nothing under uploads/ moves or gets renamed. Single level, grid view only.

Questions people ask me

Will it move or rename my files?

Never. Folders live in a taxonomy, so every file stays exactly where WordPress put it.

What if I deactivate the plugin?

Your Media Library goes back to normal, untouched. Reactivate and your folders are still there.

Does it slow down the admin?

It hooks into the existing grid rather than replacing it, and folder queries are indexed term lookups.

Can I use it with page builders?

Yes — everything routes through the public REST API, which builders and custom code can call too.

How do folder permissions work?

They follow WordPress capabilities. If a user can upload, they can file; folder editing is for editors and up.

Who supports it?

I do, personally. Free support on the WordPress.org forum, priority replies for Pro licences.
