Who this is

DevStine is a solo WordPress & app development practice, acting as the data controller for this site. This page explains what happens to your data when you visit devstine.com or sign up for updates.

Contact: info@devstine.com. No Data Protection Officer has been appointed — this is a sole-trader practice and appointment is not required under GDPR Art. 37.

What data is collected

This site does not require an account and collects no data just from browsing it.

If you opt in to the "notify me" newsletter, we collect the email address you submit and your consent timestamp. That's it — no names, no tracking pixels, no profiling. Submitting your email is voluntary: if you don't provide it, you simply won't receive product update emails — nothing else on the site is affected.

Cookies & analytics

This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Nothing about your visit is logged beyond standard server access logs kept by the hosting provider for security purposes.

Third-party processors

This site is hosted on Cloudflare, Inc., which serves every page, script, font and asset from its network and, in doing so, processes your IP address and browser data on our behalf. Cloudflare acts as our hosting processor and may transfer and process data in the United States and other countries outside the EU/EEA; such transfers are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

Newsletter emails are sent through MailerLite (Quality Unit, LLC), which stores your email address on our behalf to deliver updates. MailerLite may transfer and process data in the United States and other countries outside the EU/EEA; such transfers are safeguarded by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in MailerLite's own privacy policy.

The newsletter form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot-detection challenge that runs invisibly in the background and processes only the data strictly necessary for that security check — it does not access, store, or transmit form entries or other page content. Details are in Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum.

Cloudflare and MailerLite are the only recipients your data is shared with — we never sell or rent it to anyone else.

Legal basis & retention

We process your email under your explicit consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), given by checking the opt-in box before submitting the form. Signup is single opt-in — you're added to the list immediately, no confirmation email required. We keep it until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

As proof of that consent, we log the timestamp, IP address, browser user agent, the version of the consent text you agreed to, and the page URL you signed up from. This log is kept alongside your email for as long as we hold it, and is used only to demonstrate consent if ever required.

Your rights

Under GDPR you can:

• Ask what data we hold about you (access)
• Correct inaccurate data (rectification)
• Ask us to delete your data (erasure)
• Withdraw consent at any time — every email has an unsubscribe link
• Get your data in a portable format (portability)
• Object to or ask us to restrict processing
• Lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your EU country of residence, work, or where the alleged infringement occurred

Automated decision-making

We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Security

Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to the newsletter list is limited to DevStine.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change too. Material changes affecting how your data is used will be communicated before they take effect.
